Will I get a refund of my tuition fees if I act as a board member at a student association for a year?
Tuition fees can be refunded by the university in cases of recognised full-time board membership. Board membership can be recognised if it involves a position on the board of an association that is a member of the Local Chamber of Associations (PKvL), a university administrative body, a career association, a study association or an association organising specific activities for the student community of Leiden University. Tuition fees are refunded in monthly instalments, together with the financial support grant. The amount includes administrative costs. This means that board members pay tuition fees in monthly instalments, but are immediately refunded the same amount.
