What does the LDE minor cooperation entail and what is an LDE minor?

Leiden University (LEI), TU Delft and Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR) collaborate closely with one another in the area of minors: 33% of the places in the minors offered at these three universities are reserved for each other’s students in the month of May. This makes it much easier for Leiden, Delft and Rotterdam students to participate in a minor at one of the partner universities. This offers you a significantly wider choice of minors.

An LDE minor
In addition to an LDE minor, you can also do a special LDE minor in a socially relevant subject. In these interdisciplinary minors, the courses are taught jointly by lecturers from Leiden, Delft and Rotterdam. If you opt for an LDE minor, you will participate in the courses in the three cities along with students from all three universities. For academic year 2017-2018, the following LDE minors are offered:

  • Responsible Innovation
  • Geo-resources for the Future. Social, Economic, Environmental and Political Challenges
  • Safety, Security and Justice (LD minor, also open to EUR students)
