Is there a compensation scheme or do I have to pass all my first-year courses in the first year (BSA)?

You are not automatically required to pass all first-year courses in the first year, however Leiden University does expect you to complete 45 study credits worth of courses. Some study programmes require students to complete a given first-year course in the first year ( in addition to this study credits norm) because the course is particularly important or representative. These are the so-called additional requirements. Your Study Advisor or the administration of your study programme can tell you more about the specific requirements of your study programme.
