I ended my student registration at the beginning of the month. Why was I charged tuition fees for the whole month?

Your student registration (enrolment) will only be cancelled at the end of the month in which you request termination of registration. For example, if you submit a request to terminate student registration on 6 March, your registration will only officially end as of 31 March. This means you will have to pay tuition fees for the whole month of March.

In some cases this means you must continue paying tuition fees after you have graduated, as your student registration has not yet officially been terminated.

Be aware that if you terminate your student registration later than 31 May you will not be refunded any tuition fees for that academic year.

Requests to terminate student registration must be done via Studielink, unless you are following a non-government subsidised programme in which case you must use a ‘termination of registration form’.
