How long is a university housing contract and can I stay longer or leave earlier?
Contracts for accommodation via the university Housing Office are for a minimum of one and a maximum of two semesters. If your initial contract is for one semester only, you can request an extension of one additional semester. Students can reside in their accommodation for the entire contract period, including university holidays.
As a rule, you cannot terminate your contract early. However exceptions can be made if you are able to find an international student to take over your contract for its remaining duration. Conditions apply.
