How do I file an objection?
An objection must always be submitted in writing within six weeks after the day that the relevant decision was made known to you in writing. Clearly state in the letter why you disagree with the decision and why you are asking for the decision to be reconsidered. Specify ‘Letter of objection’ in the top left corner and include your name and address. You should also write the place and the date, and sign the letter. If required, include relevant evidence (for instance a statement by your medical practitioner or student counsellor) and send this letter of objection to the Examination Appeals Board of Leiden University, with a copy to Student and Educational Affairs (SOZ). You should also send a copy of all these documents to the Board of Examiners of your own study programme.
