Does an internship have to be approved beforehand by the department?

In most departments the internship has to be approved beforehand. The person or body responsible for approving internships differs per programme. At the Faculty of Science, the internships have to be approved by the Board of Examiners. If you study Archaeology, your internship has to be approved by the relevant internship co-ordinator. If you are a student at the Faculty of Humanities, your internship should be approved by the Board of Examiners. At the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences, this differs per programme.
